Listening for Lent

27614Listening for Lent

Over this period of Lent I want to encourage you to join in with the whole church listening for lent.
Over lent people give up many things, I want to ask you to give up 5 minutes of your day. The Idea is to make space for 5 minutes every day to simply listen to what God is saying to you and to our church.

If you stop and listen for 5 minutes every day over lent then you will have spent nearly 4 hrs simply listening to what God has to say. With the whole church doing this, by Easter we will have spent about 270 hrs listening to what God is saying to us as a church. At the front of church there will be a sealed box. You are invited to write down and add to the box what you feel God is saying. After Easter we will open the box and see what has been heard from us corporately listening to God.

Join us by downloading the Listen for Lent Guide which has all the info you need to get started with helpful insight on how to listen to God and a daily reading plan taking us through lent.

Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep listen to my voice;
I know them, and they follow me.”

May we be blessed as we push into his presence, drawing close to hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit.
